eleven months old!

well! another month has come and gone! my little "chickie-nugget" is ELEVEN MONTHS OLD!!! i seriously can't believe she will be one next month! O-N-E!!! it just AMAZES me how our sweet little girl has grown up so fast and how she has done so AMAZINGhealth-wise the past 11 months! we are SO, SO, SO BLESSED to have Taylee in our lives!!! it never fails...EVERY time i get thinkin' about it i cry. she is SUCH a sweet little girl and has brought SO much joy into our lives! she is by far our little miracle!!! and we love her more than ANYTHING!!!

at 11 months taylee:

*FINALLY hit 17lbs mark! woo who! she now weighs 17lbs 3oz! :)

*just got her last RSV shot for the season! YAY!!! :)

*will wave to you when you say hi or bye to her

*can say mum-mum and da-da-da!

*has her two bottom teeth and working on her top ones now!

*can hold her own ba-ba (she's been doing this for a couple months now)

*rolls over to her belly and pushes herself up but cant figure out how to bend her legs to get crawling! little stinker! :) we are hoping by her birthday she will be crawling!!!

*LOVES to eat!!! she's loved it since day one! :)

*loves mommy and daddy to read to her

*loves reading (looking) at books all by herself!

*loves to watch mickey mouse clubhouse

*loves to play pass with her daddy

*hates when mom and dad try to help her walk. ha ha. she will keep her legs stiff as a board!

disneyland!!!

so as you can tell from the title we went on our first family vacation!!! yes...we were VERY nervous to leave our hibernation station but we NEEDED to get away! it was so much fun! we left saturday morning and drove to vegas to play with tay's two cousins. she loved it! she just LOVES seeing and playing with other kids! it's so cute! we stayed in vegas until monday and then we were off to californ-i-a! :) taylee did AMAZING in the car! she was such a good girl (like always)! she would eat then play with her toys, read books, then fall asleep. she did awesome! here is a pic of her when i turned a movie on for her on the ipad. she got so excited and was waving her arms all over the place with this adorable smile of hers. :)

we went to california with my sisters adorable family. these kids absolutely LOVE tay to DEATH! no joke! they are always asking me if she is feeling better from her surgery and they pray for her every time they say their prayers! it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it!

all in all we had a very fun week! it was a much needed vacation but we were also very glad to be back home. :) we were so blessed to be able to go away from everything here at home and for tay to stay healthy and not get sick! that was our biggest worry! but she once again proved everyone that she is our little miracle! :) we love her SO much and we are SO blessed to have her in our lives. i don't know where we would be without her! she brings SO much joy into our lives! she is getting so big and learning so much already! we were at church yesterday and i folded my arms and told her to fold hers and SHE DID!!! i was shocked! it was the most precious thing i've ever seen! she is SUCH a blessing to us! :)

february

my goodness! i really can't believe how fast time flies by!!! even since we have been hibernating! after tay's surgery i thought that winter would NEVER come to an end and here it is almost MARCH!! YAY!!! i cannot tell you how EXCITED we are!! :) we are all healthy and happy! thank goodness! i was DEFINATELY tired of being sick that's for sure! haha. any ways! taylee is seriously getting so big! i know i say this in every post but every time i post she is bigger so it's true! :) she is so fun! i honestly am SO BLESSED to be able to stay home with her!! i cannot thank my sweet hubby enough for all he does for us! he is the BEST! :) february has actually been kind of eventful! :) i kinda felt like we were in a rut there for a little while but not anymore! here has what had happened this month:

*feb 8th- tay started waving back at us

*feb 11th- tay got her very first tooth! YAY!!!

*sometime in feb- she started holding her own bottle!

it is pretty much the CUTEST thing ever but kinda makes me sad at the same time!

*she knows what "no" means already. haha. i don't even tell her "no" other than when she shoves her hand in her mouth after taking a bit bite of food. haha. such a mean mom. hahaha.

*she also know what "uh-oh" means. it's so cute! she will be sitting in her high chair and drop her toy off the side and look at me and wait for me to say "uh-oh" then she gets a HUGE smile on her face!! so cute!!!

*LOVES books! she will hold a book and turn the pages HERSELF!!! amazing!!

*she has been playing peek-a-boo for a couple months now. she will pull her blanket up over her face and hold it up for a second then pull it down real fast. haha.

*she knows how to "give me five" and gets a HUGE grin after she does it!

*one of her favorite things to do right now is kick her legs! she is such a strong kicker too!!! we lay her down and say "kick, kick, kick" and she starts kicking like CRAZY!!!

*she HATES tummy time! (maybe that's why she's not crawling yet)

*she now weighs 16lbs 11oz! i totally thought she would weigh more with her eating as much as she does but i guess not! :) i'm just glad she continues to gain weight! :)

tay is not crawling. :( i kinda have a hard time with this to be honest. she is TEN MONTHS and not crawling yet. :( it worries me. i know all babies are different but when you see babies WALKING at 12 months it's kinda hard knowing my baby doesn't even crawl yet. one day. hopefully soon. but at the same time i hope it's not. haha. i have mixed feelings. i just hope that my baby will be fine a develop like all other babies do. she doesn't say any words yet either. not mama or dada. :( this saddens me a little as well. my doc said usually by 12months they should be saying 2-3 words so lets keep our fingers crossed that happens! we have two months to go! taylee is honestly SO SMART!!! she amazes me everyday!!! i think she is just taking her precious time and enjoying the spoiling for as long as she can. :) she would... hahaha.

other than that tay is doing AMAZING!! we are seriously SO BLESSED to have this little miracle in our lives. i'm tearing up right now just thinking of how blessed we have been since we had her. we have been so blessed with the outcome of her extensive surgery. we have been so blessed to be able to keep her strong and healthy! what a miracle!!! we love her more and more everyday!

last but not least...taylee's bestest friend...daddy! EVERY single night when dad comes home, as he is unlocking the front door she looks straight at the door and waits for him to walk in. he walks in and she gets the most precious, HUGE grin i have ever seen! it's PRICELESS!!! :)

now we are off to visit tay's cousins and then we are gonna go to DISNEYLAND!!! YAY!!! we hope and pray that tay will continue to stay healthy on/after our little trip. :)

what a crazy 2 weeks!

wow! what a week! first off tay turned 9months old on the 21st!!! i can't believe it!!! she is growing up way too fast and not being by lil' cuddle bug anymore! :( she is such a joy in our lives!!! we just love her to pieces!

now for what's happened the past two weeks....monday we went in for our 9 month check up! she's 16lbs 5oz and doing great! then wednesday we had to go in for our rsv shot. :( then friday night we went over to our new friend's house! we met amy and scott in the cicu when tay had her glenn and carter(their son) had his fontan. after chatting we found out that they live just a couple blocks up from us!!! so crazy! so we went over to get out of the house, chat, and let the kids play for a little. :) carter is such a cute little man! he is one of taylee's boyfriends. :) we like to joke that they are going to get married one day. :) ha ha ha wouldn't that be quite the challenge getting insurance for the two of them! any who! here they are ....

so cute! and yes...taylee is mad. haha.

carters cute mom made a hat and flower clip and these adorable leg warmers!! she's not wearing the hat because her noggin is too big for it. haha. poor thing! i'll save it for my next baby girl. :)

then saturday morning at about 3:30 tay woke up and was super fussy and WOULD NOT SLEEP! ugh. so we were up most of the night. then saturday she had a fever of 101 WITH giving her tylenol every 4 hours....we waited all day to see if her fever would break and it didn't so we called my ped's office and they said it would be best to take her to primary's.....ugh. don't get me wrong...primary's is an AMAZING place. but know that when you go there unexpected...you are there for a WHILE!!! so down to primary's we went. after her screaming for a good hour or two with all the poking and what nots she finally fell asleep in my arms while we waited for the results. it's a virus. YAY! so glad to hear it was just a virus and nothing else! :) then on our way home we went. didn't sleep that night. laid around all day sunday. didn't sleep all night again. then went to our cardio appt. dr. p was happy with how well she was doing and her weight gain and told us not to come back for SIX MONTHS!!! WOOOO WHOOO!!! we get to enjoy our summer and not worry about appointments! SO EXCITING! :) he also took her off of her diuretics so now all she takes is her 1/2 aspirin and ammox. (for not having a spleen). it AMAZES me that she is on only 1/2 and aspirin with the extensive surgery she had just 3 months ago!!! she's a miracle that's for sure! :) then we were on our way home again. slept a little that night. then woke up early to pick up my little brother from the airport!!! yay! i was SO excited! he finally go to meet taylee! :) so fun! here is a pic of them...

spent all day there then went home to go to bed. didn't sleep. woke up SUPER SICK! both me and tay. she now had a cough that was sounding not so good at all! so i called my ped. and he told me to bring her in. poor thing has been so sick she now has an ear infection! :( i was hoping that after all of our hibernating she wouldn't get sick. :( we are guessing we caught it from dad who was sick two weeks ago. how we caught it so late i have no idea but we are SO READY for it to be over with!!! any who. that's our story for now! waiting to be healthy and for spring to come!!! :)

2010

wow! what a year! i can't believe it's already over! it was QUITE the year!!! one that we DEFINATELY won't forget! :) our sweet little baby girl was born! april 21st was the best day ever! after 16 hours of labor and 2 hours of pushing our little miracle entered this world! it was worth EVERY minute of it too! we were told MANY things to expect when she got here and it was all SO HARD to hear. but to everyone's surprise it was not anything like were were told to expect! our little miracle came and she was a BIG 7lbs 11oz bundle of joy! that is GREAT weight for a "heart baby". once she was transferred to primary's all the nurses and doctors couldn't believe how well she was doing!

10 days old and going home!!! we were so blessed to have our sweet little girl and to top it off she was able to come home surgery free! what a miracle!

then we got to bless our little bug. she was SO pretty. :)

then came a day that we knew would come.....one that we did not want to come but knew it would....the day she had surgery. it was the BEST and WORST day all in one. it was the BEST day because we knew that it was over with and we would not have to think about it and the outcome of the surgery was wonderful! it was the worst day because we had to hand our baby girl over the the doctor not knowing what would happen. i cannot even express the flood of emotions we went through.

then we had our very first christmas with our little tay! and it was OH so much fun! we have been SO BLESSED this year!!! the way that everything has turned out has honestly been one miracle after another! and we hope to have many more in the future! we hope you will all have a very happy and HEALTHY new year! :)
